GRAND ESTATES The Columbia Valley
Established in 1984 (one year after the founding of Columbia Crest), The Columbia Valley is Washington state’s largest appellation for grape growing.
With an area roughly 1/3 of the size of Washington state, this special growing region is home to a number of unique meso- and microclimates, supported by the fact that 7 of the 11 smaller Washington state AVAs fall within the Columbia Valley’s boarder.
Growing season: 180 – 200 days
Annual rainfall: 6” – 8” (15-20cm)
