2010 Horse Heaven HillsH3 Pinot Gris

The 2010 vintage was cooler than the past vintages; bud break arrived on schedule in early April, but a cool, wet spring delayed flowering and reduced fruit set across many varieties.
Whole-berry Pinot Gris from select vineyards in the Horse Heaven Hills was pressed. The juice was held at 50 degrees in stainless steel tanks for two days until well clarified.
Fermentation took place in stainless steel to retain the elegant, fruit-forward characteristics unique to the Horse Heaven Hills region.
Blending occurred just prior to bottling.
