“Quality Syrah under $12” - Washington Wine Report - March 31, 2011 2005 Two Vines Shiraz Washington State
Aromatics of blueberries, raisins, and a medicinal note. Palate is grapey and sweet, flattening out toward the finish. 13.5% alcohol. 135,000 cases produced. Decent.
85 points - Wine Spectator - March 31, 2009 2005 Two Vines Shiraz Washington State
Soft and generous, offering a nice mouthful of mature plum and spice flavors.
4 stars - Restaurant Wine - March 27, 2009 2005 Two Vines Shiraz Washington State
Nicely done! A supple, nearly dry, full bodied, fruity Syrah, with blackberry, cherry, toast and cedar aromas/flavors. Well balanced.
“Recommended & Excellent Value” - Northwest Palate - June 01, 2007 2004 Two Vines Shiraz Columbia Valley
Abundant aromas of roasted meat, sweet plum, cedar and violets are absorbing, with similar flavors engaging the tongue. Big, plump and sweet, the cassis and blue plum flavors show out from a toasty and lightly tannic background of black pepper and spice. Neither deep nor rich, this wine has the compensating appeal of fresh ripe fruit flavors – enough to pair well with a hash of Spanish chorizo.
