89 points - The Wine Advocate - August 31, 2011 2008 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley
The 2008 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon contains 14% Merlot in its blend and was subject to the identical elevage as the 2007. Pain grille, mineral, spice box, incense, violets and assorted black fruits lead to a wine with a similar issue as its older sibling, a moderate austerity on the palate. It, too, has some aging potential so the wine could fill out with additional bottle age, but that is a bit of a gamble.
“Excellent” - Wine Press Northwest - April 01, 2011 2007 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley
A younger brother to the much-acclaimed 2005 version, it's rather robust with barrel notes of tiramisu, root beer and Graham cracker crust, backed by blackberry. The drink features black cherry and currant jam with some brambleberry, earthiness, shaved chocolate and taut tannin. Suggested pairings include braised lamb shank, Peking duck or puttanesca.
92 points - Wine Spectator - March 31, 2011 2007 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley
Firm in texture, a bit chewy with tannins but glowing at the core with currant, dried blueberry and smoke aromas and flavors that linger nicely. (score previously reported in Wine Spectator Insider 12/2010)
“Daily Wine Pick” - WineSpectator.com - March 09, 2011 2007 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley
Daily Wine Pick over $30 (previously scored 92 points 3/31/11)

A restrained and somewhat backward reserve, this is hiding its fruit behind a dry, somewhat earthy, wall of tannin. There are interesting nuances of seed, leaf and stem, along with a base fruit flavor of raspberry/cranberry, and the wine persists into a slightly bitter finish, but it seems to be holding itself back. A second bottle was better, with a little more fruit.
