87 points - “Best Buy” - Wine Enthusiast - August 01, 2007 2005 Two Vines Sauvignon Blanc Columbia Valley

Here is another gem from the Two Vines lineup. Clean, fresh-tasting, varietal flavors show grapefruit and melon front and center. A hint of residual sugar (less than 1%) thickens the mid-palate and softens the acids. The wine retains its herbaceous, penetrating, vivacious character.

“Excellent & Best Buy” - Wine Press Northwest - June 01, 2007 2005 Two Vines Sauvignon Blanc Columbia Valley

Chefs, particularly those who favor seafood, rave about Sauvignon Blanc’s acidity. Here’s an example and a bargain, starting with aromas of mineral, grapefruit, peaches and cream with cloves, and white pepper. Tremendous acidity hits the tongue along more peaches, some green apple Jolly Rancher candy and lime tartness. Grill up some halibut.

“Highly Recommended & Excellent Value” - Northwest Palate - June 01, 2007 2005 Two Vines Sauvignon Blanc Columbia Valley

Clear and appealing aromas of pear and citrus are complemented by a light herbal quality that lends a savory touch. Though light-bodied, this wine is packed with different flavors; melon, fig, citrus and herb notes are focused on the mid-palate, while apple, talc and an appealing oiliness appear toward the finish. Good acidity gives power to the flavors, yet a restrained quality brings the citrus and apple characters to the fore on an elegant finish. ^

Light and fragrant, with juicy pear and herb aromas and flavors, echoing nicely. Drink now.
