87 points - “Best Buy” - Wine Enthusiast - May 01, 2007 2004 Two Vines Shiraz Columbia Valley
Perhaps a bit bottle-shocked from its recent transportation, this Reserve Syrah resisted my attempts to pry open its fruit. Soft and pleasantly oaky, it hinted at cocoa and moch! over orange peel and blueberry fruit, but the fruit remained dumbed down and so the score must remain dumbed down as well.

Soft, open-textured and appealing for its pure blackberry and cherry fruit, finishing with a meaty note. Drink now through 2009.
“Outstanding! Best Buy” - Wine Press Northwest - December 01, 2005 2003 Two Vines Shiraz Columbia Valley
Lead winemaker Ray Einberger reaches down under for some New World influence, but the style – certainly not the price – seems in step with Walla Walla. It’s a compilation of blackberries, dusty black cherries, plums, bay rum, shoe polish, charred oak and caramel in the nostrils. Then it is berry-berry good around the tongue with blueberries, blackberry jam and fudge. Good acidity makes this an exuberant wine, finishing with ripe plums and dark chocolate.
1 grape clusters - “Excellent Value” - Wine Press Northwest - November 30, 2005 2003 Two Vines Shiraz Columbia Valley
A fragrant floral note accents an otherwise fruity aroma of blue plum. Soft and plummy on the palate, with a juicy, jammy finish of ripe fruit and toast. Match with coq au vin. ^
86 points - “Top 100 Best Buy” - Wine Enthusiast - November 15, 2005 2003 Two Vines Shiraz Columbia Valley
Sappy and bright, this Shiraz from the least-expensive tier of Columbia Crest delivers plenty of vanilla flavors in the soft and supple inexpensive Aussie style…What you will find is a very smooth and appealing wine...
