Smooth, polished and creamy-textured, with hints of nutmeg and walnut around a gentle core of pear and green fig flavors. The finish lingers beautifully.^

Though the Wine Advocate has been bellowing it for years, it is worth repeating: Columbia Crest is the source of some of the finest values in the world. I am awestruck that winemaker Ray Einberger and his team can produce such quality in industrial-size quantities. A sensual, expressive wine, the 2003 Chardonnay Reserve sports a powerful nose of spicy toast, vanilla, and pears. Expansive, oily-textured, and medium to full-bodied, this white fruit, mineral, and buttered toast-flavored wine also reveals a long, fruit-filled finish. Enjoy it over the next 5 years.
“Outstanding!” - Wine Press Northwest - December 01, 2005 2003 Reserve Chardonnay Columbia Valley
Here is Columbia Crest’s most expensive white wine, and there’s no doubt this spent lots of its life in barrel with oaky, buttered hominy and vanilla as signs of its aging. Orchard fruit flavors arrive in full force, joined by huge buttery notes. It’s ripe and sweet with good acidity, making for a cocktail conversation piece.

Spicy, peppery flavors are as prominent as the intense green apple fruit in this distinctive Chardonnay. The spicy character lingers on the creamy finish.
