“Recommended” - Northwest Palate - August 01, 2008 2006 Two Vines Sauvignon Blanc Columbia Valley
Peaches, minerals and a subtle note of dried grass greet the nose. In the mouth supple flavors of peach and pear combine with dried herbs and grass to create a tasty combination of spice and fruit, with an appealing edge of acidity. The finish is long and full of melon and peach notes. Serve well-chilled with smoked chicken on a warm day’s picnic.

Smooth and round, with a juicy feel to the pear and herb flavors.

Subtle scents of lime peel and damp slate. Balanced red apple flavors become somewhat tart but retain admirable weightiness. Stone fruit notes pick up the close.

Here is another gem from the Two Vines lineup. Clean, fresh-tasting, varietal flavors show grapefruit and melon front and center. A hint of residual sugar (less than 1%) thickens the mid-palate and softens the acids. The wine retains its herbaceous, penetrating, vivacious character.
