Beautiful dark hue. Deep, intense nose with floral notes of lavender, violets, and dried rose petals. Nicely balanced with good varietal flavors of ripe berry and plum. Try with tenderloin of beef or roasted veal shank.

A little on the light side, but this wine shows what Merlot from the Pacific Northwest can offer. It's supple but structurally sound. The whole package is built around a satisfying core of raspberry fruit, with some welcome hints of tobacco.
