92 points - “Spectacular Washington Reds” - Wine Spectator - January 15, 2010 2006 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley

Bright and generous, delivering a ripe mouthful of currant and berry flavors, shaded with dusky herbs and mocha as the finish lingers easily. Harmonious and beautifully balanced, finishing long and inviting.

95 points - “#1 Top 100, 2009 Wine of the Year” - Wine Spectator - November 20, 2009 2005 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley

The Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve has an enviable track record: four out of its seven most recent vintages scored 92 points or higher. With an excellent growing season in 2005, winemaker Ray Einberger, who worked at Château Mouton-Rothschild and Napa's Opus One, crafted an exceptional wine. He used grapes from six low-yielding vineyards to create a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with 5 percent Merlot and 4 percent Cabernet Franc. This wine belongs in the company of the world's great Cabernets and, with its low price and significant production, earns our 2009 Wine of the Year.

91 points - Wine Advocate - October 01, 2009 2006 Reserve Watoma Springs Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley

The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Wautoma Springs Vineyard (300 cases produced) is the debut vintage for this cuvee. The vineyard is located in the heart of the Cold Creek area of the Columbia Valley. The wine was aged in a mix of new French and American oak for 18 months. Purple-colored, it exhibits an enticing nose of pain grille, pencil lead, violets, earth notes, black currant, and blackberry. This is followed by a medium-bodied, rich, savory Cabernet with excellent grip, balance, and length. It has the stuffing to evolve for several years and will offer a drinking window extending from 2012 to 2021.

89 points - Wine Advocate - October 01, 2009 2005 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley

The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve represents a selection of the top 10% of the vintage’s best vineyard sites across several AVAs. The wine (which contains 4% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot) is purple-colored with an expressive perfume of cedar, spice box, pencil lead, black currant, and blackberry. Dense on the palate and quite rich, it is already displaying some complexity. With enough structure to evolve for another 2-3 years, this wine will likely merit an outstanding rating when it fully blossoms.

90 points - Wine Spectator - May 10, 2009 2006 Reserve Wautoma Springs Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley

A solid Cabernet, with spicy, toasty overtones and a fine-grained texture to the dark plum and currant flavors, persisting nicely.
