85 points - Wine Spectator - February 28, 2010 2008 Two Vines Riesling Washington State
Soft and easy-drinking, with peach and pear flavors on a light frame, finishing sweet and airy.
88 points - “Best Buy” - Wine Enthusiast - December 31, 2009 2008 Two Vines Riesling Washington State
A great entry-level Riesling, fresh, floral and delicate, the Two Vines offers refined, even subtle flavors of green apple and melon, with lovely natural acidity. Despite considerable residual sugar, it does not seem overly sweet.
85 points - Wine Spectator - March 31, 2009 2007 Two Vines Riesling Washington State
Sweet, with a lively balance to the almond-accented apple and honey flavors. Finishes with an open texture.
“Excellent & Best Buy” - Wine Press Northwest - July 01, 2008 2006 Two Vines Riesling Columbia Valley
Not all the Riesling in Ste. Michelle Wine Estates is made in Woodinville, as this large-lot wine proves. Winemaker Ray Einberger and crew in Paterson, Wash. have crafted a wine with gorgeous aromas of dusty apples, apricots and honey followed by flavors of sweet limes and tropical fruit. This was left fairly sweet at 3.51% residual sugar, but that’s balanced with loads of bracing acidity. Enjoy with a plate of kung pau chicken.
“Recommended” - Northwest Palate - November 30, 2007 2006 Two Vines Riesling Columbia Valley
Weighty aromas of apricot and talc portend a rotund Riesling in the mouth. And indeed, the lush flavors of peach, cantaloupe and apricot are round and juicy on the tongue. Good acidity gives the fruit a freshening edge, while the lingering minerality on the finish adds a complementary counterpoint. Serve with quiche Lorraine.
